Bring your love story to life

After filling out our invitation questionnaire, we send you a customized proposal based on your choices. Once you sign on with us, sign the contact and leave a deposit, you will get an email asking for all the good stuff! Reference images are helpful along with as many details of what you would like your dream invitation suite to look like! Then based on your preferred RSVP date, a timeline emails comes your way mapping out when you can expect each phase of the process to begin.

You’ll also have access to a private client portal that keeps all of our correspondences, invoice and design proofs in one place.

Design & Paint

Sketch Image.png

Once we a good idea of your vision, we brainstorm to come up with a sketch of your wedding suite. We like to think we nail it right away, but if not we will send one other sketch to get it right. Then according to your timeline, we start painting the artwork for you. When we are done, you get another design proof of your painted suite. At this point, we will go over fonts, ink colors, and design tweaks. We plan 4 design proofs into your timeline. Anything after that will require additional days added to your schedule. Sticking to the timeline and avoiding excess proofs will ensure we stick to those delivery dates.

Print & Production

Clients will need to proof read for spelling mistakes and make sure all the details are approved on the final proof before the suite goes to the printer. The final payment is then due before printing. While we wait for the invites to come back, we print the guest addresses here in the studio. Once the suites are back to us from the printer, we glue the liners in, organize all the details like wax seals, ribbons, etc. and then ship out those fabulous suites!

Pricing, Timeline & Policies

The custom invitation design experience with WDS starts at $2,000. Since each couple and their wedding is unique, we will work with you to choose items, printing methods, and quantities based on your event and needs. On average, the pricing goes up anywhere from $3-6,000+. when you include a gatefold or vellum wrap, itinerary card, custom map, guest addressing, ribbons and wax seals. Letterpress printing will also add cost to your suite.

We take on a limited number of custom projects each year to ensure that attention to detail is given to each suite. Ideally, a custom suite should be booked 10-12 months before the wedding date. We book up fast, so the earlier you reserve a spot on our production calendar the better. You will also lock in our current pricing. We need to block out a month for each phase of the process. Destination weddings require RSVP dates at least 3-6 months before the wedding date. See the example below for a typical wedding timeline.
