Our Custom Wedding Invitation Process
A CLEAR, COLLABORATIVE PROCESS FROM FIRST IDEA TO FINAL PIECE
When you choose Watercolor Design Studio, we guide you through every step, from the first ideas and sketches to original watercolor artwork, printing, and final production. Our process is thoughtful, collaborative, and designed to make creating your custom wedding stationery feel clear and enjoyable from beginning to end.
Inquiry Form
After you complete our wedding stationery questionnaire, we’ll create a custom proposal based on your selections. Once your contract and initial payment are received, we’ll gather your inspiration, artwork preferences, and important details.
From there, you’ll receive a project timeline based on your wedding date, along with access to your private client portal where correspondence, invoices, and design proofs are kept together in one convenient place.
Design & Paint
Once we understand your vision, we begin with sketches that establish the artwork, composition, and overall direction of your suite. After the sketch is approved, the original watercolor artwork is painted, and your stationery begins to come together.
You’ll then review the complete design, including typography, color, and layout, with scheduled proof rounds built into your project timeline.
Print & Production
Once the final proof is approved, your stationery moves into production. We carefully coordinate printing, addressing, liners, ribbon, wax seals, and other finishing details before the completed suites are prepared for delivery.
We’ll guide you through final proofreading and approval so every detail is confirmed before printing begins.
